FULTON, NY – April 23, 2017 – The sights, sounds and smells of a new race season filled the Fulton Speedway for the test and tune on Saturday afternoon. Over 60 race teams showed off their cars making sure a long winter of hard work paid off.

Now all eyes turn to the 3rd annual ‘Highbank Holdup’ weekend on April 28-29.

On Friday, April 28 Sam Reakes Snap-On franchise will present the high-flying Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints, plus the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series Central Region ‘Highbank Holdup’ 40. The Modified Super DIRTcar Series and the Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Late Models will have hot laps for their Saturday racing.

Sam Reakes Snap-On will have merchandise for sale with proceeds going to Paws Across Oswego County.   http://pawsacrossoswegocounty.com/

In the 2016 event over 30 Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints signed in the pits to qualify for the A-Main. In the A-main Quebec’s Steve Poirier grabbed the big win over Danny Varin, Bryan Howland, Jason Barney and Justin Barger.

Over 50 cars signed into the pits to do battle in the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series. After 40 hard fought laps Brad Rouse grabbed the victory over Jeremy Pitcher, Ron Davis III, Matt Farnham and Dave Marcuccilli.

Saturday, April 29 TK99 Classic Rock presents the stars and cars of the Modified Super DIRTcar Series plus a strong field of Fulton Speedway Modified regulars will slug it out in the ‘Highbank Holdup’ 100.

Coming into the 2016 Modified Super DIRTcar Series opener at the Fulton Speedway one question was how Billy Decker would do in the series driving for a new team getting behind the wheel of the Mike Payne Owned Page Trucking renumbered #91 Bicknell.

That question was answered in the ‘Highbank Holdup’ 100. In a classic battle for the majority of the race with Tim Fuller, Decker was able to take the lead on lap-90. Once in the lead Decker had to hold off challenges from Fuller, Jimmy Phelps and Billy Dunn for the popular win.

Also on the race card on April 29 will be the SUNY Canton DIRTcar Sportsman and Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models. Both divisions will start their weekly track points.
