APPALACHIAN MOUNTAIN DIRT LATE MODEL $4,000-TO-WIN SPEEDWEEK SERIES FINALE

Selinsgrove Pa.- June 7, 2017-For the first time in series and track history, Selinsgrove Speedway will host a Saturday night finale for the Ninth Annual Ernie D’s Enterprises Appalachian Mountain Dirt Late Model Speedweek Series June 10. The 40-lap main event for the super late models will pay $4,000 to win and $400 to start!
Sharing the racing card with the super late models will be the 360 sprint cars in a 25-lap main event paying $2,000 to win. This Saturday night will also be a 358 sprint car bonus night with $125, $100, $75 going to the top three finishing 358 drivers in the 25-lap 360 sprint car feature! The pro stocks will compete in a 15-lap A-main paying $500 to win. Track gates will open at 5 p.m. with qualifying slated to begin at 7 p.m.
Selinsgrove Speedway is one of seven tracks in the 2017 edition of the popular late model series. Time trials and heat races will be the format for qualifying for the main event offering $20,000-plus in prize money.
In last year’s series race at the Snyder County oval, Kenny Pettyjohn of Millboro, Del., held off Rick Eckert of York for the victory and in doing so clinched the series title. Nick Dickson of Lewistown (2010) and Jeremy Miller of Getttysburg (2009) have been previous Speedweek series winners at Selinsgrove.
