World of Outlaws Head to Eagle Raceway on June 13

Concord NC.- June 8, 2017-The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series returns to Eagle Raceway in Nebraska for the first time since 2012 on Tuesday, June 13. The 2017 edition of the Eagle Nationals will mark the 40thFeature event contested by the series at the high-banked, third-mile, dating back to 1981. A total of 13 drivers have picked up Feature wins with the series at the track during that span.

In the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series last visit to Eagle Raceway in 2012, three-time series champion Sammy Swindell was victorious. Donny Schatz, the eight-time and defending series champion, has a pair of wins at the track, with those coming in 2004 and 2006. The North Dakota native has made the most starts of any active full-time driver at Eagle Raceway, with 34, including preliminary features, and also tops the charts in top-10 finishes at the venue with 22.

1st Leg of the Gerdau Recycling Northern Tour for World of Outlaws at River Cities Speedway hits track on June 16

The 1st Leg of the Gerdau Recycling Northern Tour for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., is just around the corner on Friday, June 16. The 2017 season will mark the 11th consecutive year that the series has visited the always thrilling high-banked bullring.

Last year, defending series champion and North Dakota native Donny Schatz swept both rounds of the Gerdau Recycling Northern Tour at River Cities Speedway. In June, he took the lead from Logan Schuchart on lap-21 and would stay out front for the remainder of the 40-lap contest. In August, Schatz started on the pole and led all 40 laps to become the first driver ever to lead flag-to-flag in a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series race at River Cities Speedway.
World of Outlaws set for Gerdau Recycling Duel in the Dakotas at Red River Valley Speedway on June 17

The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series will hit the track at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo, North Dakota for the first time since 2012 on Saturday, June 17 for the Gerdau Recycling “Duel in the Dakotas.”

In the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series last visit to Red River Valley Speedway in 2012, three-time series champion and Hall of Famer Sammy Swindell was victorious. Swindell started on the pole and led early, before Chad Kemenah took the top spot on lap-9. Swindell would re-take the lead with eight lap remaining to earn his seventh Feature win at the track.
