BEAUMONT, Texas (May 1, 2015) With 27 drivers taking on the one-third mile Golden Triangle Raceway Park, Scottie McDonald posted his third career ASCS Gulf South Regional victory; topping the 12th annual John Bankston Memorial.

Taking over the points lead and pocketing $3,000, the win is McDonald’s first of the season with the Southern Trailer Works ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Griffith Truck and Equipment. Taking the lead on Lap 7, the Dissolvalloy No. 88 was chased to the finish by 2014 Regional Champion, Channin Tankersley who challenged for the lead in the closing laps. Travis Rilat from ninth grabbed third with John Carney II fourth from 12th and Jacob Lucas fifth after starting 11th.

The top-ten rounded out with Morgan Turpen, Zane Lawrence, Travis Elliot, Mike Walling, and John Pate.

The Southern Trailer Works ASCS Gulf South Region presented by Griffith Truck and Equipment returns to action on Saturday, May 2 at the Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas for the 14th annual Ronald Laney Memorial.
