Mercer, PA (March 25, 2015): Wet grounds and colder temperatures prevailing through race day forced Mercer Raceway Park to adjust its schedule once again. The Chiller Thriller, set for Saturday, March 28, has been pushed back a week, to April 4. Point racing for the six classes making up a Saturday Night Live program will begin April 11, weather permitting, of course. The Jack Frost Enduro will take place on Sunday, April 12, along with the Snowflake 25.

“We are disappointed to lose another week of racing,” said track manager Frank Benic. “But, we had no choice. The grounds are too wet to do the work necessary to race, and the weekend temperatures could lead to freezing track conditions.”

So, the full-fendered fury will take place on April 4. The ULMS Late Models, unsanctioned Crate Late Models, UEMSModifieds, and Open Stocks will be on tap tat day. Gates will open at 4 p.m., with racing starting at 6 p.m.

The first Saturday Night Live! event will take to the track on the following Saturday, April 11. That will be a full point program for all six divisions: the 4 Your Car Connection and World of Wheels 410 Sprint Cars, the Bonnell’s Rod Shop Outlaw Sprint Warriors, the Approved Toilet Rentals 358 Modifieds, Precise Racing Products Stock Cars, the Rock Concrete Modified Lites, and the Eperthener’s Auto Wrecking and Ray’s Racing Collectibles Mini Stocks. Gates will open atthe regular time, 4 p.m, with a customary 7 p.m. green flag for racing.

Then, it will be a quick turnaround for the fans and staff of the speedway. The next day, Sunday, April 12, everyone will reconvene for the Jack Frost 150 Enduro and the Snowflake 25. Gates will open that day at 10 a.m., with the Snowflake 25 going green at 1 p.m.
