AMERICAN RACER CUP BEGINS THIS WEEKEND AT PARTICIPATING SPEEDWAYS

Binghamton, NY… This weekend marks the start of the American Racer Cup at speedways throughout the northeast. As the American Racer Cup by Sunoco Race Fuels enters its sixth year in existence, it looks to once again rewards teams for their weekly performance at their home track(s) throughout the 2015 racing season, by giving away product awards throughout the season. The American Racer Cup program will once again be putting up approximately $150,000 in cash and product awards, with regional and overall cash awards in excess of over $50,000 for the upcoming season.169

Registration is open at all participating speedways. Whether it is Opening Night or simply a test and tune session at the speedway, American Racer Cup registrations will be accepted all weekend. The registration deadline to join the popular program is May 20th.

The American Racer Cup is designed for the weekly racers. Teams do not have to travel as points will be awarded at the track they race at weekly. The program includes both modified and sportsman teams at thirteen area race tracks. Drivers will use their twelve best finishes throughout the season. This will mark the first week with points tallied through the Labor Day Weekend. The overall and regional championships will payout over $50,000 in cash to the top participating teams.

The overall American Racer Cup payout is once again estimated to exceed $150,000 in cash and product awards. The top five drivers from each region will also be sharing in an additional Modified and Sportsman point fund of nearly $6,000 in addition to the over $35,000 in cash awards in the overall American Racer Cup point fund. Each home track will award up to twelve tires in weekly tire giveaways to teams at each and every participating speedway (over 250 total drawings during the season!) At the end of the season the top five in home track points will also be awarded tires for their efforts.
