CENTER LISLE, NY – Thunder Mountain Speedway will have to wait one more week to crown is 2015 track champions.

Due to heavy predicted rain for both Saturday afternoon and evening, Championship Night at the three-eighths-mile clay oval has been postponed to next Saturday, September 19. All season-long championship battles will be decided on the 19th for the weekly divisions.

Modifieds will race for $1,500 to win next Saturday, joined by the Open Sportsman, Crate 602 Sportsman, Rookie Sportsman, Street Stocks, XCel 600 Modifieds and FWD Four Cylinders.

Current point leaders entering next Saturday’s finale are Mike Mahaney (Modified), Eric Leet (Open Sportsman), Pat Jordan (Crate 602 Sportsman), Shawn Davis (Rookie Sportsman), Steven Deinhardt (Street Stock), Will Eastman (XCel 600 Modified) and Dylan Robinson (FWD Four Cylinder).

Gates open at 4 p.m., with hot laps at 6:20 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. Adult grandstand admission is $12. Seniors (ages 65 and up) and Students (ages 10-17) pay $10. Kids 9 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $30, with no license required.

Racing for Sunday (Sept. 13) at Thunder Mountain – the MjH Oilfield Wade Decker Memorial Race – remains on schedule at this point. The Short Track Super Series Fueled By Hi-Tek Bob Hilbert Sportswear Modifieds race 50 laps for $5,000 to win. Also on the Sunday card: GRIT American Series Crate 602 Sportsman, Street Stocks and XCel 600 Modifieds, all earning $1,000 to win.
