POIRIER POSTS HUMBERSTONE KOT WIN

PORT COLBORNE, Ont. (September 10, 2021) – Jordan Poirier put his name back in the win column with the Pinty’s Knights of Thunder 360 Sprint Car series live on GForceTV Friday night at Humberstone Speedway.

Tyler Rand and DJ Christie earned front row starting spots for the 25 lap A-Main, and Rand took the initial lead before Christie overtook him in turn three. Christie’s lead didn’t last long either though, as Poirier took the top spot on lap four. Poirier stayed up front for the rest of the event, but he had to earn the win with several close calls in traffic.

Ryan Turner took the runner-up spot, while Josh Hansen passed DJ Christie and Mikey Kruchka on the last lap to steal the final podium position. Christie settled for fourth, while Kruchka took his first top five of the season after starting in row six. Cory Turner took sixth, followed by Rand, Shone Evans, Jim Huppunen, and eighth row starter Travis Cunningham. Heat race wins went to Evans, Christie, and Huppunen.

The Pinty’s Knights of Thunder series will next be in action on Saturday, September 11 at Merrittville Speedway. Visit www.knightsofthunder.com for more information.
