NARDELLI TAKES HIS SEVENTH CHECKERED FLAG OF THE SEASON AT BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY

Sicklerville, NJ (August 16, 2015) – On Friday, August 14, Lee Nardelli took his seventh checkered flag of the season at Bridgeport Speedway by winning the wingless 600cc Micro-Sprint feature.
In his qualifying contest, Nardelli was victorious in the event by roaring to the front from his eighth starting position. Although he won his heat race, Nardelli went to work on his car for the main event, “I made quite a few adjustments for the feature,” commented the driver from Bridgeton, NJ. Starting in second place in the 20-lap feature, Nardelli grabbed the lead as the event got underway. Although he was leading the pack, a problem developed on his car with six circuits completed. “The master cylinder failed on lap 6 and I had no brakes for the remainder of the race,” said Nardelli. Fortunately, he masterly drove his car for the rest of the contest and held off the hard charging Jermain Godshall to claim the victory. Nardelli was quite happy with his first place finish considering his brake issue. “I am very pleased to get through tonight,” beamed the point leader. Nardelli will be back in action on Sunday, August 23 at Bridgeport Speedway for a Poker Series event.
