The World of Outlaw Sprints Return to New Egypt Speedway Tuesday, May 19th Pre-Race Festivities for Drivers, Crews, and Fans Plus PA Posse Bonus Planned
New Egypt, NJ– The World of Outlaw Sprints will invade New Egypt Speedway for their only New Jersey appearance of the 2015 season on Tuesday, May 19th for the Jersey Outlaw Classic. As the last stop on their northeastern swing competing against the tough PA Posse, the Speedway, along with some great sponsors, want to make their stop even more exciting for the Outlaws, the Posse, and the fans.
Vahlco Wheels has signed on to host a pre-race party for all the drivers and crew members before the start of the event in the pit area. When the pit gates open at 3 pm drivers and their crews will enjoy food and drinks under the Vahlco Wheels tent.
During the entire northeastern swing of the Outlaws schedule they compete against the best of the best in Central Pennsylvania’s PA Posse. The Speedway wants to continue that battle for their only appearance in New Jersey and to do so is offering a $250 cash bonus to the first PA Posse member across the finish line. If a PA Posse member can score the victory against the Outlaws the bonus will be doubled to $500. The only time a PA Posse member has beat the Outlaws at New Egypt Speedway was PJ Chesson back in 2002. The highest finishing PA Posse member at the 2014 event was Danny Dietrich who crossed the line in the seventh position.
The Speedway also has a lot of great giveaways and contests for the fans during the night. First off will be the “Parking Lot Party” tailgating competition. Fans are invited to tailgate throughout the day and decorate their area celebrating their favorite driver, the Outlaws, or any other organized theme. A grand prize winner for best display will receive a tailgating prize pack that will include two tickets to the New Egypt Speedway USAC event on Thursday, June 4th. Judging will take place at 3:30 pm before the front gates open at 4 pm.
In addition to the “Parking Lot Party” tailgating competition, the first 250 fans through the front gates will receive a free ticket to the ARCA event at Pocono Raceway in June. The Speedway will also have our annual Frisbee contest with Miss New Egypt throwing out signed New Egypt Speedway Frisbee’s by all the competitors. The person who catches the feature winning drivers will receive two free tickets to any Saturday night New Egypt Speedway event.
For the past two World of Outlaw New Egypt Speedway events Kasey Kahne Racing’s Daryn Pittman has captured the checkered flags. PA Posse and local drivers expected to make a run at the bonus and the Outlaws are Greg Hodnett, Danny Dietrich, Brent Marks, Kyle Reinhardt, Robbie Stillwaggon, Mark Bitner, Ryan Smith, Davey Sammons, and JJ Grasso. As in years past you never know who will make an appearance as NASCAR drivers Tony Stewart and Dave Blaney have both made starts over the past two years.
