By Michael Batz
Cody Kline has been known as “The Captain” for years. Friday night
the captain righted the ship on his way to the season opening win in
the West Side Auto Body Slingshots.
The Slingshots started their season with a Tour Race bringing the heavy hitters out in full force
to compete at the ¼ mile. Justin Thompson led a 25 car field to the

cleared Hoch and proved to be the class of the field driving away to a
2 second win over Hoch, Thomspon, Brett Bieber, and 12th place starter
Kenny Heffner.
Kyle Grube was sixth followed by Louden Reimert, Mark
