**Swinehart Nabs First All Star Slingshot Victory On Wingless Wednesday at Shellhammers

 JUNIOR SLINGHOTS: 1.  14  Autumn Ankiewicz; 2. 53 Joey Vaccaro; 3. 22 Tanner Vandoren; 4.  54  Damion Dusheck; 5. 41 Nicholas Flammer.
 ALLSTAR SLINGSHOTS: 1.  38 Dylan Swinehart; 2.  43D  Dawson Landis; 3.  4 David Galloway.
**DRIVER SPOTLIGHT: Autumn Ankiewicz
Prior to Wednesday, April 15, personable teen Autumn Ankiewicz never sat in the No. 14 Slingshot…and she had never turned a lap, or even laid eyes on Shellhammers Speedway near Leesport, PA. But those things didn’t matter to the Tamaqua resident…
On the first night that she buckled into the racecar, and the very first time she gassed it around the quick little oval known affectionately as “the Hammer”, Ankiewicz simply went out and won the Junior Slingshot feature.
“I like this track,” she pronounced afterward, “and we’ll definitely be back!”
Ankiewicz cut her racing teeth by running Karts at the Greenwood Valley Action Track near Bloomsburg, PA, and she’ll continue to compete in that division when she’s not racing the Slinger. Judging by her performance at Shellhammers on the 15th of April, though, it’s a pretty good bet that Ankiewicz will soon be tradin’ paint with the All Star Slingshots.
