Just like almost every other speedway in the northeast that runs on Friday nights, Big Diamond Speedway has once again been forced to update their weekly schedule for the month of May due to the excessive amount of rain the area has received the past few weeks.

Starting with this Friday night May 17th, it will be Youth Group Night as well as Eash’s Towing & Recovery Night as the mighty USAC Wingless Sprint Cars make their first of three visits to the speedway in 2019. The non-winged warriors put on quite a show last season as they slide sideways around the PA dirt oval. The USS Achey Sportsman will attempt to finally race this season along with the Savage 61 Road Runners. The Eash’s Towing & Recovery Street Stocks will race for a $750 winner’s share Friday night. Completing the racing card on Friday will be the 600cc modifieds.

Gates will open this Friday night at 5:30pm. Warmups will hit the track at 7:15pm with the racing getting underway at 7:45pm.

General admission for this Friday is $15, kids 11 -12 are $10. Kids 10 and under are free. Active military with a valid ID are also admitted free of charge.

Friday night May 24th will feature a huge night of racing as part of Slifko Service Center Night. The Insinger Performance 358 modifieds will headline the night’s racing events along with the winged warriors of the United Racing Club who will make their first of two appearances at the track in 2019. Originally scheduled to be off on this night, the USS Achey Sportsman cars have been added to May 24th schedule. The Savage 61 Road Runners and the Eash’s Towing & Recovery Street Stocks will fill out the night’s racing schedule.

Completing the month of May will be the much anticipated “Money in the Mountains” race for the modifieds presented by Fire Management Control of Pennsylvania. The modifieds will compete under the rules of the Short Track Super Series (no sail panels) with the winner receiving a cool $10,000. The Sportsman, Road Runners, Street Stocks and the Central PA Legend cars will also be part of the night’s events.

The opening day event from May 3rd has been cancelled, all regular Big Diamond divisions will draw for positions starting this Friday.

The above listed events are subject to change. Please visit our website at www.bigdspeedway.net for up to the minute information regarding the speedway.
