New Egypt, NJ – New Egypt Speedway will be hosting its annual Independence Day celebration with two days of activities this Friday and Saturday July 5th and 6th.

On Friday July 5th New Egypt Speedway will be hosting the Fire in the Pines Fireworks show. There will be live music, carnival games, food trucks and a whole lot more capped off with a tantalizing fireworks display. Gates open at 4pm with the fireworks going off around 9pm this Friday night. Sunday July 7th has been added as a rain date.

Then on Saturday night July 6th our Independence Day hits full throttle with the 3rd Annual Firecracker 40 for the Vahlco Wheels Modifieds paying $3,000 to win. PJ Oliver picked up his first career Vahlco Wheels Modified victory in the 2017 version while Brandon Grosso was victorious last year. This Saturday will also be the only 2019 NES appearance of the USAC East Coast Sprint Cars. Eddie Strada won in last year’s main event, will he go back to back or will someone such as Chris Allen, Chandler Leiby, Bill Unglert or 2018 Champion Steven Drevecki shoot to Victory Lane on Saturday? 2017 Modified track champion Billy Pauch Jr. has also confirmed to us that he will be in the USAC East Coast field on Saturday night aboard Bill Gallagher’s No. 5g as well! The Crate Modifieds and the Mike’s Performance Center 4-Cylinders will round out the racing card on Saturday night. It will also be our 2nd $1 Dog Night of the 2019 season!

Adult (16+) admission is $26, Seniors (65+) are $24 while Teens (12-15) & Military w/ID are $15 and just like every other Saturday night, Kids 11 & Under are FREE!

We will also be having a boxcar challenge this Saturday night during intermission.
What is the boxcar challenge? Kids are invited to design their own box cars up just like their favorite NES driver and will run around a temporary oval with the box car held around their waist set up in front of our main grandstand on Saturday night.
