Jamaica, VA – Will there be a repeat winner this year in the 38th Annual TireX USA 100 at Virginia Motor Speedway? This Saturday May 16th we will find out when the stars and cars of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series return to battle for the $10,000 top prize.

In the nine year history of the event has being held at the ½ mile speed plant in Jamaica, VA there has yet to be a repeat winner; a testament to the competition in the region and how hard it is to win at Virginia Motor Speedway.

The excitement level is building among officials and fans alike as everyone anticipates a stellar field and race once again, especially after the fantastic show that the series competitors put on during the Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth held on April 11th.

The list of previous Champions for this race is a list of “Who’s Who” in dirt late model racing. Fans can expect to see the best drivers on the East Coast competing for the top prize. Defending Ultimate Super Late Model Series Champion Dennis Franklin, Two-time Series Champion and current point leader Casey Roberts, Dustin Mitchell, Jeff Smith and the rest of the tour regulars will have their hands full with regional stars like defending TireX USA 100 Champion Chris Ferguson, Gregg Satterlee, Ricky Elliott, Walker Arthur, Dan Stone and Jamie Lathroum.

Joining the Ultimate Super Late Model Series once again will be a $3000 to win FASTRAK National Tour event for Pro Late Models. The pairing offered up late model fans an outstanding night of racing during the April 11th Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth and is sure to be just as exciting come Saturday May 16th.

This year’s format for the TireX USA 100 will be practice, qualifying, 10 lap heats, 10 lap B-Main(s) and the 50 lap $10,000 to win feature. Format for the $3000 to win FASTRAK National Tour Event will include practice, qualifying, heats, B-Main(s) and 40 lap feature.

Competitor gates for Saturday May 16th will open at 3pm with spectator gates opening at 5pm. On track activities will begin at 6:00 pm with hot laps.

Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday May 16th: ULTIMATE Super Late Models (50 Lap Feature); FASTRAK Pro Late Model National Tour (40 Laps).

Adult tickets are just $20; seniors (60+) $18; military $15; students 11 – 17 years old $10; and children 10 and under free. Pit passes (regardless of age) will be $30. All tickets will be sold day of event.

16” coolers are welcomed but no glass is allowed. There is plenty of free lit parking and camping (no hookups) is allowed at no charge on a first come first served basis.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a ½ mile dirt oval track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads area.
