TWIN SPORTSMAN RACES HONOR DADS AT WALL STADIUM THIS SATURDAY (JUNE 13)

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ The popular Snap-on Sportsman division will take center stage in Twin 35 lap feature races this Saturday night (June 13) as Wall Stadium Speedway honors dads one week before Father’s Day weekend with discount grandstand admission prices. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is set for 6:00 p.m. with main events for all divisions to follow.

The open wheel Sportsman cars will be led by 2014 driving champion and two-time early season winner Kevin Davison of Howell. Other recent winners in the field will include Manasquan’s Kenny Van Wickle and Tuckerton’s Robby Walton. Top early season point earners Chris Lane of Howell, Andrew Krause of Holmdel and Rob Silver of Wall will be among those looking for a first, or possibly a first and second feature wins on the season.

The Elite Maintenance Limited Late Models, O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stocks and the Green Flag Driving Experience Legend Cars will also be on the schedule. A special mechanic’s race is also planned.

Pit gates will open at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday; with practice starting at 3:00 p.m. Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. and qualifying is then set for 6:00 p.m. Main events for all divisions will follow.
Action will then continue on Sunday (June 14) as Wall Stadium presents the “Sunday Small-Car Series” starting at 11:00 a.m.

One of the most prestigious events in short track racing is next up on Saturday, June 20, as the speedway presents the 41st running of the 100-lap, $4,000 to win “Garden State Classic” for the Downs Ford Modifieds. In addition to the large field of present day competitors, 20 past “Garden State Classic” champions, including Gil Hearne, Tony Siscone, Jerry Cranmer, Bob Rossell, Jamie Tomaino, Tony Hirschman, Don Stives, John Blewett, Jr., Tom Mauser and Sam Russo are expected to be on hand to be honored and to sign autographs.

Wall Stadium presents professional motorsports events on Saturdays and Sundays through September with special post-season races in October and November. The speedway is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B.
