Practice, Vintage cars and Enduro’s set for Friday 3/30 at Big Diamond Speedway; Rain date is Saturday 3/31

Despite Mother Nature’s repeated challenges, the past few weeks. Practice scheduled for this Friday 3/30/18 at Big Diamond Speedway is a go. Promoter Jake Smulley has been hard at work to ensure the track will be in shape for this Friday’s scheduled practice. Practice is open to any car with a roll cage and proper safety equipment. Also, on tap for Friday night will be the “Blast from the Past” Vintage cars along with a 75 lap Enduro Race paying $3000 to the winner take all event. There must be a minimum of 30 cars for the Enduro race and if the minimum of 30 cars is not met the race will revert to a normal 50 lap race.

Gates will open Friday at 5:00pm with cars hitting the track for practice at 6:00pm. The Vintage cars will run their feature after practice is concluded. The Enduro feature will finish out the program.

Grandstand admission is free for the practice session and for the Vintage cars. The admission for the Enduro race will be $7.00 with kids 12 and under admitted free of charge.

Should Friday’s program be rained out the rain date will be on Saturday 3/31/18. Gates will open on Saturday at 12:00pm with practice starting at 1:00pm. The same order of events from Friday will be used.

During this weekends practice session, you will be able to purchase 2018 reserved seats, season passes, pit licenses and brand new Big Diamond Speedway apparel.

Once this weekends practice is over, all eyes will look forward to the season opener scheduled for Friday night April 6th. Big Diamond Speedway will kick-off its 47th season with a huge opening night program for the mighty 358 Modifieds. It will Schaeffer Motorsports Night at the speedway with a 30 lap, $4000 to win feature event for the Modifieds. All the track regulars will be in action each looking forward to getting off to a good start in their quest for the 2018 track championship. The Sportsman cars will run a 20 lap, $1000 feature as part of the night’s program along with the Roadrunners and Street Stocks. Rain date for this event will be Friday 4/13/18.

The following week April 13th will be the annual “Money in the Mountains” show at the speedway brought to you by No Sweat Service Group. The MITM race is a big block/small block challenge race with a 40-lap feature event paying a cool $6000 to the winner. This event normally draws a great field of Modifieds all looking for some early season big money. Along with the Modifieds will be the Sportsman, Roadrunners and Street Stocks. Rain date for this event will be Friday 4/20/18.
