GEORGETOWN, DE – For the first time in two months, big-block/small-block Modifieds return to the banked half-mile at Georgetown Speedway.

On Friday, May 17, the L&J Sheet Metal Modifieds take the headline of the Deron Rust Memorial, competing for $3,960 to win over the distance of 30 laps. Modifieds have not hit the track at Georgetown since the opening Melvin L. Joseph Memorial weekend in mid-March. Stewart Friesen (Short Track Super Series Modified) and Duane Howard (small-block Modified) took the Sunoco checkered flags.

Past Deron Rust Memorial winners under the BD Motorsports Media LLC management of the speedway include Friesen (2016 & ’17) and Ryan Godown (’18).

Joining the L&J Sheet Metal Modifieds on the program are Chesapeake Paving/J.W. Brown Trucking Crate 602 Sportsman ($1,396 to win), Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Little Lincolns, Delmarva Chargers and Delaware Super Trucks.
