BREWERTON, NY – Although racing may be slowed by the current state of affairs, that doesn’t mean race tracks are not busy behind the scenes preparing for the 2020 racing season.

Over the past several weeks, Dirt Track Digest TV and Big Diamond Speedway have been in discussions to bring the Minersville, Pa., facility into the fold.  After a series of conversations, DirtTrackDigest.TV is happy to announce a deal was reached to bring special events from the Schuykill Valley dirt oval onto the channel for this season.

“We are excited to add another track to the fold on DirtTrackDigest.TV,” said Dirt Track Digest partner Mike Mallett.  “Big Diamond has a lot of history and some very high paying Modified races.  We are really excited to have the opportunity to work with track promoters Jake and Jasmine Smulley and the team at Big Diamond Speedway for this coming season.”

Several of the speedway’s high-profile events are on the calendar for season which includes nine events.  All of which are high paying events for the Modified division.  The Modified division is the heart and soul of DirtTrackDigest.tv as the platform is the only broadcast channel dedicated to the division.

“First and foremost, we hope everyone is staying safe during this current situation,” commented Jake Smulley.  “With the uncertainty with everything surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic we wanted to have another way to allow those that can’t be with us to be able to watch from the comfort of their own homes.  We know there are also people that travel and from out of state that can’t be with us weekly, this gives them the opportunity to watch.”

The schedule is slated to include the opening night for the Modified division on April 10 which offers $4,000 to the winner.  A week later is the Money in the Mountains event which offers $10,000 to the winner.

Two races make up the May schedule including Topless Night worth $4,000 to the winner.  The month concludes on May 29 with the Modifieds and the USAC East Coast Wingless Sprint Series.

June kicks off with the Short Track Super Series on June 2nd.  It wraps up with the Kamp Memorial on June 26 with $4,000 going to winner.

The prestigious Stevenson Memorial for the Modifieds is slated for July 3 where the Modifieds battle it out for $5,000 to win.  The Prelude to the Coalcracker on August 21 is a warm-up to Big Diamond’s marquis race as the Modified winner takes home $5,000 while we wrap up our broadcast schedule on September 6 with the Coalcracker 72 paying $17,000 to the winner.
