Weedsport Speedway Test and Tune Scheduled for this Sunday

Weedsport Speedway will open on Sunday, May 15th for open practice for all divisions. For some the afternoon will provide an opportunity for drivers to shake off the cobwebs and get some laps on their equipment. While for others it could be used to fine tune their setups for an upcoming Weedsport event. A mild winter and an early start has helped the track crew fine tune the surface. Speedway management hopes some minor tweaks in the configuration makes for better racing. “The track has come around great. We got an early start and it has really helped get the surface in great condition” stated Jimmy Phelps. “We made a minor adjustment to the entry of turn one, and after taking a few laps at speed, I think it is going to really help the racing.”
Pit gates will open at noon, and the first hot lap session will go on track at 2:00 pm. Pit admission will be $20 for all ages. Grandstands will be open and free to the public. Bring your appetite! The concessions under the pavilion will be open to purchase a bite to eat with an all new line up.
