DSC_7391-X2OSWEGO, NY -August 20, 2016 – Ohio Supermodified veteran Tim Jedrzejek will once again be thrown into the conversation as a potential champion of the Budweiser International Classic 200 for Novelis Supermodifieds on Sunday, September 4, as Danzer Racing announced today that ‘Timmy J’ will pilot their No. 72 machine this Classic Weekend.

The defending champion of the Bud Light ISMA Super Nationals, driving for Howie Lane, Jedrzejek has competed twice at the Speedway this season in non-wing action for Graham Racing, but will make the move to the Danzer stable for the 200.

The Danzer Racing team has proven to be a top contender in recent years, scoring several main event wins with three this season and another Mr. Supermodified crown, including having sat on the front row for last year’s Budweiser International Classic.

The car that Jedrzejek will enter in the Classic has not competed so far this season, but has reached victory lane with Danzer at the controls and was driven to a runner-up result in weekly action last year with Dave Cliff doing the driving.

Cliff put the car in last year’s Classic lineup, finishing 19th in the final run down after dropping out of the event.

Jedrzejek’s last drive in the Classic came in 2014 driving the Mike Murphy No. 60.  Jedrzejek ended the day in 22nd position.

A veteran of the 200-lapper, ‘Timmy J’ has nine career starts in Supermodified racing’s biggest event with a best career finish of sixth coming in 2009 driving the Todd Stowell No. 89.

Saturday’s action at Oswego Speedway will feature a 50-lap Novelis Supermodified main event as well as 30-lap Pathfinder Bank SBS feature presented by U-Pull U-Save Auto Parts and Bosco’s Food Market with green flag racing scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The season’s second driver autograph session will also take place at 5:15 p.m. and fans are encouraged to wear teal to support Ovarian Cancer Awareness.

Adult general admission will be set at only $5 for the evening with kids 16 and under free with paid adult.
