VETERAN RACER RYAN GODOWN AND RISING YOUNG STAR BILLY PAUCH JR. FIRST TO ENTER 46TH ANNUAL FREEDOM 76 MODIFIED CLASSIC AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY ON SEPTEMBER 10

BECHTELSVILLE, PA – August 20, 2016 – Looking to claim the $25,000 first prize money veteran dirt track racing talent Ryan Godown and rising star Billy Pauch, Jr, son of dirt track racing legend Billy Pauch Sr, have submitted the first entries for the 46th Annual Freedom 76 Modified Stock Car Racing Classic set for Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 10th.
Godown has won features at a number of area tracks, including Grandview, during his long career and Pauch Jr. has earned feature race victories and is making quite a name for himself as he grows his career. It would be quite an achievement for either racer to win the Classic event.
Many of the top names in dirt track Modified racing are expected to take part in the September 10th race. A full series of qualifying events will lead up to the 76-lap race set to top off the night on the one-third-mile, banked clay track considered one of the most successful short track operations in the nation.
And the night before the Sportsman stock cars will be featured in a 38-lap main event along with the TSRS 305 Sprints racing in a full series of events. In addition there will be practice laps for the Modified racers. Both nights of racing will start at 7 p.m.
Advance adult admission tickets are available for the Freedom 76 for $35. The tickets can be purchased at the track or send a check covering the tickets being order to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505. Please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to assure the return of tickets in a timely manner.
All advance orders placed in the mail must be received by September 2nd. Youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $10 and kids under 6 enter free. Adult tickets will be priced at $40 on race day. Pit passes, not available in advance, are priced at $45. Rain date is September 17th.
The Friday night doubleheader adult tickets are priced at $12 and are available only on race day. Youngsters 6 thru 11 pay $5 and those under 6 are admitted free. There is no rain date for this event.
For racers planning to participate in the Freedom 76 entry blanks are available at www.grandviewspeedway.com or on Grandview’s Facebook page. Advance entries are $90 and on race day will cost $115. A pit pass is included. There is no NASCAR license required.
Fans coming out for this very popular event are reminded that there are no hookups for campers and there will no roping off/reserving of areas in the parking area. Campers are asked to set-up in the 4th turn area of the parking lot.
No 4-wheelers or golf carts are allowed to be operated after 10 p.m. And for safety reasons no burning of skids will be allowed.
Lap and event sponsorships are available by contacting Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797. Laps are also available at the track by contacting Tina Rogers in the pits or Tommy Kramer in the main gate area. Laps sell for $20 and events go for $250.
Coming up on Saturday, August 27th is A.D.Moyer Lumber Night with a tripleheader show of NASCAR stock car racing taking place along with the Blast from the Past Vintage racers.
The final point event of the season at Grandview Speedway is set for Saturday, September 3rd when WNPV-1440AM Radio Night is presented and features the T.P.Trailers Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman stock cars.
