New Egypt Speedway Kicks Off 2016 Season This Weekend

NEW EGYPT, NJ- March 4, 2016- The start of the 2016 racing season is right around the corner and New Egypt Speedway kicks off 2016 in style this weekend with two unique events designed for competitors and fans. On Friday, March 4 the annual Winter Jam takes place at the newly renovated Gamblers Ridge Bar and Grill in Cream Ridge, NJ followed by the annual Sprint Swap Meet at the Ocean County oval on Saturday, March 5.
At the Winter Jam, racers will be able to purchase licenses, pit parking spots and register for upcoming special events, while track officials will be on hand to answer questions about the 2016 racing season. Race Fans are also encouraged to come out and party with the New Egypt crowd as the track’s 2016 racing schedule will be available along with giveaways including apparel, stickers, and a few surprises.
The pricing for pit licenses, parking spots and other competitor items will remain the same as previous years – with a discounted rate for crew members purchasing a license on or prior to the scheduled Saturday, March 26 practice day.
An exclusive ticket package highlights the Winter Jam. The offer includes: two general admission tickets, two hot dogs and two sodas for a price of $45 – a nearly $15 savings. This package, valid for any 2016 regularly priced Saturday Night event, will be available for purchase along with food and drink.
Admission to the Winter Jam is free. Food and full bar service will be available for purchase, from 5 PM through 9 PM at the Gambler’s Bar and Grill located at 121 Burlington Path Rd., Cream Ridge, NJ 08514. Taking place at New Egypt Speedway, Saturday’s Winter Swap Meet offers enthusiasts from all divisions of racing the opportunity to sell their cars, parts, and tools, as long as they’re automotive-related.
New Egypt Speedway’s office will be open at 8:30 AM for the purchase of licenses, pit parking spots and event registration. Single night race tickets will be available for purchase on Saturday and include a free lunch between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm, where anyone purchasing a single night race ticket will receive their choice of a hot dog or sausage sandwich and a bag of chips – limit one per person.

The New Egypt Speedway season kicks off on Saturday, March 19 with the March Madness Meltdown, featuring a 50-lap, $5,000-to-win Modified event that promises fast-paced action, hometown heroes and the region’s greatest invaders.
New Egypt Speedway is located on Route 539 just minutes from Six Flags Great Adventure and the New Jersey Turnpike.
