World of Outlaws To Invade New Jersey

Bechtelsville Pa.- May 16, 2017- Claiming to be the Greatest Show on Dirt, the World of Outlaw Craftsman Sprint Car Series is set to invade New Egypt Speedway on Tuesday night May 23rd for the 5th Annual Jersey Outlaw Classic. This will be the only Garden State appearance by the World of Outlaws in 2017.

Kasey Kahne Racing’s Daryn Pittman has had this race circled on the calendar since the schedule was announced as he has won the last four previous Jersey Outlaw Classic’s at the Ocean County, NJ D-Shaped oval. Also in competition that evening will be the likes of Donny Schatz, David Gravel, Brad Sweet, Jason Johnson, Shane Stewart, Joey Saldana, Sheldon Haudenschild, Paul McMahan and more!

General Admission tickets are $30, reserved tickets are $35, teens 12-15 are $15, and children 11 and under are free. Pit admission is $40. Pit Gates will open at 2PM, Tickets and Will Call open at 3:30PM, Grandstands at 4PM, Hot Laps will begin at 6:30 with Opening Ceremonies beginning at 7:30PM. A Wednesday night May 24th rain date has been added in case there is inclement weather.

Chase Bryant, a Red Bow recording artist and a young rising star on the country music landscape, will play a free concert on the AAA Stage at Victory Plaza prior to the “AAA 400 Drive for Autism” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway on Sunday, June 4.

The AAA Stage at Victory Plaza will also host an appearance by Austin Dillon, driver of the Richard Childress-owned No. 3 AAA Chevrolet in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, and other entertainment before the Sunday race.

Between dates performing with Brad Paisley’s “Life Amplified World Tour” in 2017, Bryant’s free concert will be held on the morning of June 4, prior to the 1 p.m. green flag for the “AAA 400 Drive for Autism” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race. The AAA Stage at Victory Plaza will be located near the Monster Monument presented by Smithfield behind the frontstretch grandstands at the Monster Mile.

The June 2-4, 2017, NASCAR tripleheader weekend at Dover International Speedway includes the “Bar Harbor 200” presented by Sea Watch International NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday, June 2 and the NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Saturday, June 3.

The Monster Mile is also hosting a NASCAR tripleheader weekend from Sept. 29-Oct. 1, including the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff race on Sunday, Oct. 1, the “Drive Sober 200” presented by the Delaware Office of Highway Safety NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Saturday, Sept. 30 and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Friday, Sept. 29.

The twenty-eighth season of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series will open on Sunday night, May 28 at the Grandview Speedway. The popular series that is sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts and presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings will open with the Big Block Modified/358 Modified Showdown competing in a series of qualifying events leading up to the 40 lap feature paying $5,000 to the winner, $1,000 for tenth and $500 just to start the main event for pre-entered drivers. Also on the card will be the Sportsman and MASS Sprint Cars, competing in qualifying events leading up to a 25 lap Sportsman feature and a 20 lap sprint car feature.

Modified drivers pre-entered for this event include Craig VonDohren, New York modified driver Keith Flach, Billy Pauch Jr, Jared Umbenhauer, Kevin Hirthler, Kyle Weiss, Danny Bouc, Brett Kressley and John Willman to name a few. There is no entry fee and drivers or car owners may enter by calling 443-513-4456. This event is also a point race for the season-long NASCAR points.

The Pioneer Pole Buildings mobile sales unit will be on display at all of the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series events including the Sunday, May 28 Triple Thunder Thriller. Gates will open at 5 PM with qualifying getting underway at 7:30 PM. Admission prices are $25 for adults, $10 for children 6-11 and children five and under will be admitted free. The pit fee is $35 and a license is not required.

The 2017 Thunder season continues just two weeks later with the invading USAC National Wingless Sprint Car Series on Tuesday, June 13 competing with Grandview’s premier racing division the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds.

The 2017 racing season will include activities and promotions, providing fun for the fans with elements such as: Pre-Race Pit Tours, the Inside/Out Experience – where fans can sign-up to watch hot laps from the infield, the Low Down & Dirty Radio Show pre-race Meet & Greet, JOE “THE PIZZA DUDE”, giveaways, fireworks, and appearances by Miss Thunder on the Hill, Lauren Fischer.

With NASCAR stock car racing rained out last Saturday at Grandview Speedway attention turns to this Saturday with the running of the TP Trailers and Truck Equipment Night featuring the TP Trailers NASCAR 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman along with Blast from the Past Vintage racers with no increase in ticket prices. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m. The weekly Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet featuring drivers and cars on display takes place at the main entrance at 5:30 p.m.

Fans and racers are asked to wear yellow in support of injured racer Jordan Henn who continues his recovery from injuries suffered in a racing accident.

Dover International Speedway and WNPV-AM Radio will be giving away tickets to the June2-4 NASCAR weekend at Dover.
