Saturday, March 19th Kicks Off the 2016 New Jersey Dirt Racing Season

New Egypt, NJ– We are less than a week away from the kick off to the 2016 New Jersey dirt racing season with New Egypt Speedway’s March Madness Meltdown on Saturday, March 19th. Invader entries are starting to take shape with Modified heavy weights Stewart Friesen, Jimmy Horton, Ryan Watt, Danny Creeden, and Kyle Merkel confirming they will be in attendance at the Central Jersey speed plant. They will be looking to take home the $5,000 victory over New Egypt regulars Billy Pauch, Ryan Godown, Billy Pauch Jr., Neal Williams, Mike Butler, and many more.

The March Madness Meltdown brings to town the ever popular Big Block Modifieds for a rare appearance to take on the home track 358 Small Block Modifieds. The Modified feature is 50 laps for a top $5,000 prize and a healthy $400 to take the green. The popular Sportsman division will also be on the card in a 30 lap $1,000 to win and $100 to start feature event. The Speedway has also collected over $1,000 in lap bonus money to be paid out to the leaders of each lap of both feature events. Each Modified lap leader will receive $15 per lap and each Sportsman lap leader will receive $10 per lap.

PM_GTown031216-1Pit gates will open at 12 pm for early technical inspection. All cars must go through safety inspection prior to hitting the track for the first time in 2016. Grandstand gates will open at 3:30 pm with the first 50 adults and children receiving free goodie bags courtesy of some of the 2016 Speedway sponsors. Hot laps will begin at 4 pm and the first green flag will wave at 5 pm. Adult admission is $25, seniors 65 and older are $23, teens 12-15 and military and their spouses with ID are $15, and children 11 and under are free. Pit admission is $35 with any track or series license and $40 without a license.

Anyone purchasing pit admission is reminded to purchase their New Egypt Speedway license first – to take advantage of the discounted pit price. No refunds will be offered if you purchase your pit band before purchasing you license. Licenses can be purchased in the front office starting at 11 am.
