Fred Rahmer Promotions Adds a Full-Day of Fun at PA Speedweek Sprint Car Event with Pre-Race “PARTY AT THE PATH”
Path Valley Speedway Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek Event on Sunday, June 28

SPRING RUN, Pa. (June 14, 2015) – They don’t call Fred Rahmer the “King of Speedweek” for nothing, boasting 13 of the 24 series titles, when he was an active competitor.  Now, for the 25th Anniversary of Speedweek, Rahmer is celebrating in a different way — with a FREE pre-race bash at local venue: Hammond’s Grove, just prior to the Sunday, June 28 Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek event at the Path Valley Speedway. Giving fans the opportunity to “Party at the Path.”

“We’re always trying to find unique ways to get the fans involved,” Rahmer explained.  “Everyone’s started using the hashtag ‘Party at the Path’ on social media and we decided to give them an all-day event.”

The Pre-Race Party at the Path kicks off at Noon at Hammond’s Grove, just up the road from Path Valley Speedway.  Live music from rock band Southern Edge will compliment food, games and prizes, with appearances from a variety of the PA Sprint Speedweek competitors.

The Pre-Race Party is FREE of charge, with the purchase of tickets to the evening’s event at the Path Valley Speedway.  Fans can purchase tickets to the race starting at 11:30AM, those tickets will also allow access to the pre-race festivities.

All of this leads to the fastest cars on dirt, the 410 Sprint Cars, at the Path Valley ¼ mile highbanks. The area’s top competitors will participate in a 40 lap, $5,000-to-win main event – like all Fred Rahmer promotions events the buck doesn’t stop there.  A $500 bonus is offered to the winner of each 410 Sprint Car qualifying heat event – as long as that winner comes from outside the front row — if a driver from the front row picks up the victory they will receive $200 for their win, and the additional $300 will be added into the Lawrence Chevrolet Non-Qualifiers event jackpot.

Lawrence Chevrolet of Mechanicsburg, PA presents the Non-Qualifiers event with a guaranteed winner’s share of $500 – but that jackpot could reach as high as $1,700 depending on the results of the qualifying heat events.  At the 2014 Speedweek event, Chandler Leiby earned $1,100 for his non-qualifiers win and at the April 26 event TJ Stutts earned $1,400 for his non-qualifiers win.

Hoosier Racing Tires gets involved with a 410 Sprint Car contingency bonus that sees six right rear Hoosier Tires being distributed to drivers based on a fan vote, as well as four right rear Hoosier tires that will be distributed to 600cc Winged Micro Sprint drivers based on a random drawing.

The June 28th at the Path Valley Speedway marks the third event of the Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek schedule – which offers nine races in ten days, with $250,000 in race payouts.  With sponsorship support from Wayback Burgers and associate sponsorship from Trone Outdoor Advertising a $25,000 point fund will be offered with $10,000 going to the series champion.  Celebrating its 25 season, Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek has hosted 163 races at 12 different tracks, with 36 different drivers scoring wins.  More information on Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek can be found at www.paspeedweeks.com

This marks the third Fred Rahmer Promotions event at the Path Valley Speedway.  Previous event winners include Brady Bacon (2014 Speedweeks) and Chad Kemenah (April 2015).

All the action takes place on Sunday, June 28 with pre-race tickets going on sale at 11:30 AM at the Path Valley Speedway, the pre-race party kicking off at 12 noon at Hammond’s Grove located at: 19898 Hammond Road, Spring Run, PA – on Route 75 just up the road from the Path Valley Speedway.

Back at the track: pit gates open at 12:00 noon, grandstand gates open at 2:00 PM, and hot laps start at 6:00 PM with time trials immediately following.
