Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints With Two Events this Weekend at Outlaw and Selinsgrove

Fulton%204-29-16008SYRACUSE, NY- May 19, 2016– The first two-race weekend for the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) will be held this weekend with a Friday night visit to the Outlaw Speedway and then on Saturday for the annual Mach 1 Chassis Shootout at the Selinsgrove Speedway

The 2016 point season for ESS was suppose to kick off April 22 at Outlaw with the first ever Spring Nationals.  With the evening postponed cause of rain, the rescheduling is this Friday with the very same $2,000 to win event.

The next night the cars and stars of the ESS trail will head south to Central Pa. to the famed Selinsgrove Speedway with a $2,000 to win, $400 to start event that will pay out over $14,000 in cash. Both events will pay points for the overall Lucas Oil ESS Championship and the NAPA Auto Parts US Tour.

Fulton%204-29-16010-SSteve Poirier started off the the 33rd Anniversary Tour campaign and he will be on hand to see if he can keep the 2016 success to Dundee, NY.  Jason Barney, Paul Kinney, Matt Tanner, Paulie Colagiovanni, Tommy Wickham, Dave Axton, Parker Evans, Shawn Donath, Bryan Howland, Mark Smith, Chad Miller, Jeff Cook, Mike Stelter, Sam Reakes IV, James Hanson, Denny Peebles, Pete Richardson will also be on hand looking to keep Poirier from victory lane.

Some other drivers looking to be in the field at Outlaw include Robbie Stillwaggon, George Suprick, Jonathan Preston, Keith Granholm, Derrick Juliano, Tyler Graves, Josh Azzi, Dan Kuhn, Nick Cooper and others will join in on the fun.

Once again Lane’s Yamaha from nearby Watkins Glen will be sponsoring the Cobra Coaches Dash event.

At Selinsgrove, track regulars including defending track champ Mark Smith, TJ Stutts, Jason Shultz, Cody Keller, Ryan Kissinger, Coby Womer, Derek Locke, Eric Tomecek, Jim Shuster, Larry Kelleher, Mike Walter and others will be on hand to defend home turf.

Other drivers expected in the field will be New Yorkers Chuck Hebing, Steve Collins, Joe Trenca, Rob Dietrick as well as Davie Franek, Jordan Thomas, Keith Prutzman and more.

Dave Franek Auto Sales picked up the sponsor of the Cobra Coaches Dash at Selinsgrove.

Each night will see the Beard Sewer and Drain timed hot laps, Car Mate Trailers heats, Lacaillade Masonry B-Main all leading up to the 25 lap A-Main’s paying $2,000 to win.

Outlaw Speedway, Selinsgrove Speedway and the Lucas Oil ESS traveling road show…it will be excitement guaranteed!!
