WITH A NEW NON-CONFLICTING DATE AVAILABLE, THE ROMP IN THE SWAMP CALL BEFORE YOU DIG CHAMPIONSHIP SHIFTS TOSATURDAY, OCTOBER 31

Sicklerville, NJ (September 29, 2015) – With a new non-conflicting date available, the Bridgeport Speedway management team, Colonial Pipeline and Wiz Motorsports Communications have jointly agreed to move the Romp in the Swamp Call Before You Dig Championship from Saturday, November 7 to Saturday, October 31. The shift was made possible as New Egypt Speedway has decided to cancel their Mid-Atlantic Championship weekend which was set to take place on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31.

This unique event featuring any type of dirt Modified stock car will occur on the inner oval at the Southern New Jersey complex. A special format has been developed for this race. All competitors will compete in time trials and the top five will automatically advance to the 40-lap main event. The remaining drivers will attempt to qualify for the feature race by competing in sub-main events. The first sub-main will showcase the bottom time trialers competing in the first of a series of 10-lap sub main races. The top five finishers from this initial contest will advance into the next race and face the next set of five slowest qualifiers for another 10-lap event. This sequence of races with the top five finishers advancing will continue up to the main event. On Saturday, October 31, the grandstand and pit gates will open at 1:30 p.m. Hot laps will start at 4:00 p.m. and racing gets underway at 5:00 p.m. Adult grandstand tickets are $25 with student admission at $10. Kids 9 and under are admitted for free. Pit passes for this event are $35. The new raindate for this event is Sunday, November 1.
