Williams Grove Speedway Saturday Night Series Begins Action This Week

Williams Grove Speedway’s Saturday Night Series begins its 10th year of competition at the famous half-mile clay oval. This Saturday, May 2nd, the first of a 16-race season will commence at 7 PM.
The Saturday Night Series will continue with a three-division show featuring the Blazer’s Body Shop Super Sportsman, Credit Connection Auto Sales 358 Late Models and Aquafun Pools Street Stocks.
Last Friday night the Credit Connection Auto Sales 358 Late Models were in action at Williams Grove Speedway. Veteran driver Les Hare defeated the 24-car field.
Paul Miller shook off an illness to win a Friday night Williams Grove Blazer’s Body Shop Super Sportsman main event. Defending Super Sportsman point champion Frankie Herr currently leads the Super Sportsman tour point standing with an 80-point advantage over Chad Criswell. Criswell, Herr and Steve Fannasy have tour victories.
The Aquafun Pools Street Stocks will present another competitive season. Last year the stock cars thrilled fans with five to six-car battles for the lead.
Williams Grove Speedway management continues to present a family-oriented show. The popular Kids Night will return on July 18. A new feature this year will be School’s Out Night on June 6. Plans are underway for this new feature celebrating the start of summer.
Adult admission for all Saturday Night Series events will be six dollars with children 12 and under free.
