410 SPRINT & MODIFIED DOUBLE HEADER – – THE JERSEY RUSH RETURNS TO NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY TUESDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 19. . . . .  PRESENTED BY NAPA AUTO PARTS & PIONEER POLE BUILDINGS

 

Making a very rare appearance at New Jersey’s New Egypt Speedway, the 410 sprints joined by the modifieds will come together for THE Jersey RUSH on Tuesday night, August 19 in a spectacular double-header presented by NAPA Auto Parts and Pioneer Pole Buildings.    The Tuesday night, August 19 event will mark the fourth presentation of The Jersey RUSH, and JJ Grasso, winner of two of three 410 sprint events will be a serious contender for the win.    Grasso won the event in 2011 and 2013 as World of Outlaw driver Daryn Pittman was the winner of the Jersey RUSH in 2012.

NAPA Auto Parts and Pioneer Pole Buildings jointly present the “Ultimate Double Header” with the  410 Sprints earing a  $5,000 payday  to win 30 lap feature event with  $3,000  going to the winner of the 30 lap Modified main event.    Race time is set for 7:30 PM with gates opening 5 PM.   Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstands at 4:30 PM.     Race fans are invited to come out early and take part in the sprint drivers Meet & Greet from 5 to 6 PM.  That’s right, it’s absolutely free for race fans to enter the pit area prior to this great racing program to meet the drivers before the drop of the green flag.

This is a rare chance to see the best of the Pennsylvania Posse 410 sprint stars in the state of New Jersey.   Greg Hodnett, Lance Dewease, JJ Grasso,  Brent Marks, Freddie Rahmer, Brandon Rahmer, Davey Sammons, Robbie Stillwaggon, Davey Franek, Mark Bitner, Curt Michael, Joey Hershey, Ed Aikin and Troy Betts are just a few of the pre-entries.   Chasing the modified payoff will be Billy Pauch Sr.,   Ryan Godown, Billy Pauch Jr., Neal Williams, Chris Grbac, Sammy Piazza, Jimmy Horton, Kyle Merkel, Willie Osmun and Jimmy Blewett.

Time trials for the 410 sprints will open the show followed by qualifying heat race events for the sprints and modifieds, all leading up to the spectacular twin thirty lap main events.

The sprint car payoff will offer an attractive $1,000 to finish tenth and $400 to take the green.  A $300 bonus is posted to the highest finishing 360 sprint car.   Standard Central Pennsylvania wing and weight rules will apply along with an open tire rule.

The modified portion of the show will offer an exciting mix and match of rules to attract the very best in the modified division.   358 Modifieds will race with sail panels as they challenge the Big Block Modifieds without sail panels.   PA/New Egypt legal 358 will compete with sail panels.  358’s on gas must weigh 2,275, cars on alcohol must weigh 2,350, 9:1 Steel heads must weigh 2,275.  Open small blocks must weigh 2,450 and will compete with windows and no sail panels.      Big Block Modifieds, maximum 467 cu in, windows only, on gas only must weigh 2,500.  The modifieds will earn $500 for tenth and $200 to take the green flag.    $50 will be paid to all non-qualifiers.

There is a pre-entry bonus offered to both sprint and modified drivers.   Entry forms, rules and a complete payoff is posted on line at:  www.aarn.com  and www.newegyptspeedway.net     Admission for this event is $29 for adults,  $10 children 6 to 11 and children five and under will be admitted for free.  The pit fee is $35 and a license is not required.

In the event of rain, Wednesday night, August 20 will be the rain date with a starting time of 7:30 PM.

JJ Grasso won the inaugural Jersey Rush in 2011 and won the event again in 2013.   In 2012, Daryn Pittman won the Jersey Rush.

The Jersey Rush spectacular is a co-promotion between Lenny, Danny and Davey Sammons and special events organizer Bob Miller.
