No Sweat Service Group will be the sponsor of this Friday’s July 28th racing card as the 358 Modifieds return to action after having last week off. No Sweat Service Group specializes in mobile hydraulic hose repair and is also the weekly sponsor of the speedway’s Street Stock Division.

In the Steel and Metal Services Modified division, Craig Von Dohren currently leads the in the hunt for the season ending points championship by a slim 34 point margin over the always steady Jeff Strunk. Rich Laubach, Billy Pauch Jr and Kevin Beach Jr make up the top five in title chase and are ready to pounce if one of the front runners makes a mistake. With just five points paying races remaining in the 2017 season, time is running out for any driver that wants to make a move to unseat Von Dohren at the head of the table.

The U.S.S Achey Sportsman Modifieds will race in the Andy Fayash, Jr memorial race in memory of the former Big Diamond Speedway driver. The race will pay $1,750 to the winner of the 30 lap main event. Matt Stangle is the point’s leader in the Sportsman division. With Stangle having a unusual sub-par finish last Friday night, second place finisher Doug Hendricks made a move to tighten up the standings. Hendricks is just a few markers in front of Shawn Light in the runner-up spot. If Stangle should have another bad night this week, it could really make things interesting in the highly competitive U.S.S. Achey Sportsman title chase.

The Savage 61 Road Runner division has a clear favorite to win the title. Kody Sites has a big lead in the chase for the championship over Terry Kramer, Mike Reichert, Jim Kost and Shawn Mulhall. Kost who was the winner last week looks to make it two in a row this week.

The No Sweat Service Street Stock division will in a special 30 lap feature event this Friday sponsored by Jason’s Automotive Repair paying a hefty $1,081 to the winner. This should make for some highly competitive action throughout the race as they chase the big prize! As an added bonus, the street stocks will compete in dash for cash race sponsored by Russ & April Killian. Currently Elvin Brennan III continues to lead the way looking for the point’s title but this championship is still very much up for grabs with Chris Heller, last week’s winner Chris Derr, Eric Tripp and Jasen Geesaman all within striking distance of the leader.

This Friday night is also being designated as Lupus Awareness Night and the track is asking that everyone wear purple to support those who suffer from Lupus. #PURPLEOUT

General admission for the night is $20, with kids 12 and under free. As always, active military with ID are free.

Gates open at 5:30pm with the racing action getting underway at 8:00pm
