Davey Hamilton Sr. & Jr. in Action Saturday Ahead of Classic Weekend

OSWEGO, NY -August 12, 2016 – Both Davey Hamilton Sr. and Davey Hamilton Jr. will be in action this Saturday at Oswego Speedway in Novelis Supermodified competition.
Hamilton Sr., the winner of the 1997 Budweiser International Classic 200, will make his first start of the season driving the John Nicotra Racing No. 6 Novelis Supermodified on August 13.
With his most recent victory coming in the Speedway’s season opener in 2013, Hamilton drove to a fourth place finish in last year’s International Classic, and looks to use this weekend as a jumpstart for another bid at an International Classic trophy on Sunday, September 4.
Hamilton will join teammate Otto Sitterly this Saturday, who is currently locked in a battle for the 2016 championship with Dave Gruel, Michael Barnes, and Mike Muldoon.
Muldoon will once again provide a ride for Hamilton Jr. this Saturday, as the young shoe will make his second start in the Muldoon No. 14.
Making his first career start on July 2, Hamilton Jr. impressed early on, quickly finding smooth and consistent speed. Before long Hamilton was in the 16-second bracket and would go on to drive a good race in the 75-lap main, finishing in the Top15 – just one lap off the race pace.
Hamilton Jr. will return to the Speedway on Saturday, August 20 for the Speedway’s track championship night with $5 admission as he looks to gain even more experience prior to his first attempt at the Budweiser International Classic 200 this Labor Day Weekend.
This Saturday’s action at Oswego Speedway will feature a 50-lap Novelis Supermodified main event as well as Twin 20 Pathfinder Bank SBS features presented by CNY CPR, www.OswegoCountyToday.com, and KROCK.
Adult general admission will be set at $17 this Saturday with $14 Price Chopper Tickets to Go available at any Price Chopper Supermarkets locations.
Kids 16 and under will be admitted free with paid adult.
