THE BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY THREE FOR ALL
THE BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY THREE FOR ALL
On Wednesday, July 15th, the Bridgeport Speedway will present the “Three for All” – a first time event for the Logan Township speedway that will see three divisions of racing in the same program sponsored by the Delaware Auto Exchange.
The Super Late Models will make their return to the Bridgeport Speedway – their first appearance since November of 2011. The 358 Spec Head Small Block Modifieds will join the Super Late Models. Last summer’s mid-week show drew a strong field of 358 Modifieds and many of the competitors have asked for another opportunity to race on the Bridgeport 5/8 mile track – in addition to the annual November show. The United Racing Club will also be on hand for their second Bridgeport appearance of the season.
The Super Late Models will pay $3,000 to win their twenty-five lap feature event. That’s a typical pay day for a thirty or forty lap race.
Coleby Frye won a 25 lap Super Late Model race held at Bridgeport in August of 2010. Frye raced Darryl Hills, Ricky Elliott, Dale Lingo and Mark Pettyjohn to the checkered flag that day.
Dan Stone was the race winner when the Super Late Models last raced Bridgeport in November of 2011. Stone beat Elliott, Jim Yoder, Dylan Yoder and Ross Robinson to collect the win.
Drivers from throughout the Tri-State area have shown an interest in this event. Elliott’s name is on the top of the list of the Delaware contingent that consists of Donald Lingo, Andrew Mullins, Nick Davis and Amanda Whaley. Jeff Rine is just one of the drivers from Pennsylvania that could also include Andy Haus, Bryan Bernheisel and Danny Snyder. The drivers from the state of Maryland that have shown an interest in this event include Kyle Hardy, Kyle Lear, Jamie Lathroum, Jason Covert and Dale Hollige.
Competition in the 358 Spec Head competition should read like a Who’s Who in small block modifieds with the likes of Craig VonDohren, Duane Howard, Shawn Ward, Brad Trice competing against Bridgeport regulars like Ryan Watt, Rick Laubach, Dominick Buffalino and Richie Pratt.
The Crate/Sportsman competitors are being invited to compete in this event. If at least five Crate/Sportsman compete for a starting berth, a $500 bonus will be offered to the highest finishing Crate/Sportsman competitor – in addition to their green flag money. For this one night, the Crate/Sportsman will not be subjected to weight, gear, carburetor or wheel restrictions.
Curt Michael picked up win number 50 when URC opened their 2015 season here at Bridgeport back in April. Michael will have plenty of competition from the likes of Josh Weller, Jason Bitner, Davey Franek and Robbie Stillwagon and more! Bonus money will be offered to the top placing 305 competitors in this event. The top three finishers will receive $250, $150 and $100 respectively.
It’s a night with something for everyone! Super Late Models – Small Block Modifieds or URC Sprint Cars! Take your pick! There’s something for everyone!
