Test N’ Tune at 34 Speedway

Danville’s Justin Newberry will be competing in the 305 sprint class this year at 34 Raceway. Newberry took advantage of 34 Raceway’s Test N Tune day Saturday afternoon to prepare for his upcoming season. Newberry placed second in the point standings in 2014.
Andy Huston, Roseville, Il
Took the opportunity to get some track time with his sprint car before the start of the 2015 racing season at 34 Raceway’s Test and Tune Day Saturday afternoon. Huston will be competing in the 305 sprint class at 34 Raceway and hopes to hit most of the 360 Sprint Invaders racers. The season at 34 Raceway, Burlington, kicks off this Saturday, April 4 with the Sprint Invaders and IMCA Modified Frostbuster. 34 Raceway will be celebrating the 50th year of the track this year and plans a special event on July 18.
14b Kyle Hill, New London, IA
Kyle Hill, New London, IA, took the opportunity to test his new IMCA Sport Mod at 34 Raceway’s Test N Tune day Saturday afternoon. 34 Raceway kicks off the 2015 season Saturday, April 4 with the Sprint Invaders and IMCA Modified Frostbuster. Hill was a top ten finisher last season with a 7th place finish in the point standings. 34 Raceway will be celebrating the 50th year of the track this year and plans a special event on July 18.
Jay Johnson 93, West Burlington
Jay Johnson, 93, West Burlington, took some laps on the 3/8 mile of 34 Raceway Saturday afternoon preparing for the upcoming Slocum 50 Super Late Model $10,555 to win special coming up at 34 Raceway Saturday, April 18. The race honors former late model racer Brent Slocum who was killed in a pit accident in 2005 and is becoming one of Iowa’s biggest races.
