NEW EGYPT, NJ – The annual “Tailgate Party” will return to New Egypt Speedway on Thursday, June 11.

Race fans arriving early for the Lentini Auto Salvage ‘Dirty Jersey 3’ and tailgating in the parking lot will be eligible for giveaways and prizes. The pre-race festivities lead up to one of the season’s most anticipated events, featuring Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Hi-Tek big-block/small-block Modifieds (40 laps, $10,000-plus to win), United Racing Club 360 Sprint Cars (25 laps, $3,000 to win) and Crate 602 Sportsman (20 laps, $750 to win).

Tailgate setups in the NES spectator lots showcasing a favorite driver or organized theme will be eligible for giveaway items. ‘Dirty Jersey 3’ event staff will be roaming the parking areas with the giveaways prior to the start of hot laps.

The giveaway/prize list continues to grow. It currently includes:

“We have been working to get a good group of prizes together,” said event promoter Brett Deyo of BD Motorsports Media LLC. “This is a change from previous years because we want more of our fans to take something home and have a great time before the start of racing.”

Some of the top names in racing will assemble at NES for the third ‘Dirty Jersey’ running. In the Modified ranks, invaders will include Tim McCreadie, Brett Hearn, Danny Johnson, Rick Laubach, Stewart Friesen, Jamie Mills, Duane Howard, Craig Von Dohren, Danny Creeden, Ryan Watt, Anthony Perrego, Andy Bachetti, Doug Manmiller, Matt Jester and many more.

Defending the home turf will be track champion Ryan Godown, Billy Pauch Sr. and Jr., David Van Horn Jr. and many more.

This event offers points on the Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. STSS South Region presented by Scotty’s Speed & Diesel. Rick Laubach currently tops the South Region standings.

The URC 360 Sprint Cars, with an invite to the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) will race 25 laps for a $3,000 winner’s share. Among the stars expected to contend are Davie Franek, Josh Weller, Curt Michael, Robbie Stillwaggon, Randy West, Friesen (doing double-duty), Mark Bitner and many others.

The Crate 602 Sportsman division completes the program. Timed hot laps set the top-18 starting positions, with a B-Main setting the remainder of the starting field.

Pit gates will open at 3 p.m., with grandstand gates swinging open at 4 p.m. Hot laps take the track at 6 p.m. and racing begins promptly at 7 p.m.

Adult grandstand admission is $29. Seniors (ages 65 and over with ID) and Military (with ID) pay $24.  Students, ages 12-15, pay $12. Kids 11 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $35, with no license required.
