071Rossburg Ohio – July 15, 2016-Larson Marks Racing and Shane Stewart head to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for the second time this season. The team will be in action Thursday night for Jokers Wild and Friday night for The Knight Before the Kings Royal, both leading up to the 33rd Annual Kings Royal on Saturday.

KING SHANE XXXII: Larson Marks Racing and Stewart claimed victory in the 2015 Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. Stewart started 14th for the 40-lap feature event and wasted no time showing the speed of his No. 2 car. He moved into the top 10 in the opening 10 laps and was up to third by the halfway point of the race. After restarting on the front row with six laps to go, Stewart avoided incidents around him to take over the lead. After maintaining his position out front through a green-white-checkered finish, Stewart earned the $50,000 paycheck and was crowned King Shane XXXII.

WEEKEND SWEEP: In addition to being crowned king, The Knight Before the Kings Royal also saw Stewart and the Larson Marks team in victory lane. Stewart won the dash to earn the pole starting position for the 30-lap main event. He led every lap to claim the win and sweep one of racing’s most prestigious weekends.

BRAD DOTY CLASSIC RECAP: Stewart went out second to last in flight two of qualifying and timed in 23rd at Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park. After starting eighth in Heat 5, he gained four positions in the 10-lap race and missed the transfer spot to the feature event by one position. Despite finishing fourth in his heat, the World of Outlaws’ format reverts back to qualifying time relegating Stewart to start fourth in the D-Main. He advanced two positions in eight laps to score the final transfer spot to the C-Main, where he started 14th. Stewart climbed 10 positions in the C, but unfortunately missed the transfer to the Last Chance Showdown by two spots.
