(MORRIS, IL – June 10, 2015)—The Short Track Auto Racing Series (STARS) will have all

five divisions back in action Saturday June 13th at Grundy County Speedway.  Saturday’s race

will be led by the D’Arcy GMC National Midgets and the event will be sponsored by Packard

Transport.  Rex Easton Owner of Packard Transport welcomes the national midgets, the STARS

Classic Modifieds (Dwarf), Illini Racing Series Sportsman Midgets (IRS), CSR Super Cups, and

Legacy Midwest Racing Series to the event that is honoring his late son Ben Easton who recently

passed away.

Each week teams set out to win the current race, however they also have season goals.  Those

goals include making sure everything is done right each week so they can be the top team at the

end of the year and be crowned the points champion.

In the D’Arcy GMC National Midgets division two drivers are tied for the points lead.  Brad

Greenup took his QRock 100.7, Window World midget for Greenup Motorsports to victory lane

last Saturday and came out of the night with a share of the points lead.  Greenup shares the lead

with Billy Hulbert.  Hulbert put together a solid outing last weekend taking his Troutman

Excavating midget for Hulbert Racing to a second place finish in the feature.  With this finish

and other accomplishments he was able to come out of the night as the co-point’s leader.

1509- 050aThe STARS Classic Modifieds (Dwarf) division point’s leader is Darren Ihrke.  Right behind

Ihrke is Ed Ensor who will look to take the lead this Saturday.

The Illini Racing Series (IRS) will have a full contingent of cars this weekend.  They will be led

by defending and three time champion Patrick Bruns who is currently the points leader.

The CSR Super Cups will be making their Grundy County Speedway debut this weekend.  They

are being led by Jamie Domski in his Midget Men Racing Monte Carlo.

Then the Legacy Midwest Racing Series will round out the five divisions competing Saturday.

Nathan Bertino is leading the way over Jordan Caskey.

The pits will open at 2:00 pm and the front gate at 4:30 pm.  This will allow for the first races to

begin at 6:00 pm.  So be sure to come out and see great racing in all five divisions and see if by

the end of the night there will be new points leaders.

The cost to watch some great racing is family friendly.  Adult tickets cost $12, children tickets

(age 5 to 12) cost $2, and children 4 and under are free.  There is also no charge for parking.
