FOX Presents “The Big Crate Show” with Contingency Awards for Competitors

SUSSEX, NJ -June 13, 2016- .FOX, a leading manufacturer of high performance shock absorbers, has signed on as the title sponsor of The Big Crate Show, the Sportsman support division of the Tuesday, June 28 The Big Show 8 Super DIRTcar Modified Series 100 at Malta, New York’s Albany-Saratoga Speedway.
“The Sportsman teams have really supported our Big Shows,” says event organizer Brett Hearn. “So we’re extremely happy to have FOX come on board as the title sponsor of the Twin-20s Sportsman races.” FOX Racing Shocks are products of Fox Factory Holding Corp. of California.
The field for The Big Crate Show will be divided in half for a pair of 20-lap feature races, each with its own payout including $1,000 to each winner. Should the winning cars be equipped with FOX shocks, and carry the appropriate FOX decal, a $250 contingency bonus will be awarded.
This is an open event for all Sportsman cars and will be run under the jurisdiction of the Albany-Saratoga Speedway Crate Sportsman division rules with one notable exception: rev limiters will not be required. The aluminum wheels of the Sportsman cars from Albany-Saratoga Speedway may be used and all Sportsman cars may use either the Hoosier Sportsman tire or the Hoosier 300 or 400 Modified tire.
Presented by Recovery Sports Grill restaurants, Halmar International, Ferris Industries, VP Racing Fuels, Cedar Peaks Enterprises—and now joined by FOX as the title sponsor of The Big Crate Show for Sportsman—The Big Show 8 is bound to be an exciting evening of dirt track racing at its very best
General admission for The Big Show 8 is $24, children under 12 just $5.00. The spectator gate opens at 4:00 pm. Pit admission with DIRTcar or Albany-Saratoga Speedway membership is $30; non-members $35. The pits open at 3:00 pm.
Brett Hearn is a champion professional race car driver with 888 feature race wins to his credit. He has captured 88 track and series championships including seven point titles at Albany-Saratoga-Speedway and is the defending Modified division champion at Lebanon Valley Speedway. In 2013, Hearn was named “Area Auto Racing News 50 Years Greatest Driver.” Driven Marketing is Hearn’s team that promotes special motorsports events.
