SELINSGROVE, Pa. –August 17, 2016- Four races will round out the 2016 season at Selinsgrove Speedway.
This Saturday, Aug. 20, will be the Mach 1 Chassis “Double Your Money” Open featuring the 360 sprint cars in a 30-lap feature paying $4,000 to win and $400 to start out of a $20,000-plus purse. The rain date will be Saturday, Aug. 27.
Joining the 360 sprint cars this Saturday will be the super late models in a 25-lap main event paying $1,500 to win. The pro stocks will compete in a regularly scheduled 15-lap feature plus the July 16 points show that was rained out.
The roadrunners will also compete in two 12-lap features, one a makeup race from July 16.
On Saturday, Aug. 27, the 360 sprint cars, super late models, pro stocks, and roadrunners will be on the card for the final points race of the season sponsored by Foss Jewelers of Selinsgrove. In addition, the pro stock division will make up the July 3 non-points race at the end of the night.
The World of Outlaws Late Model Series returns to Selinsgrove Speedway over the Labor Day holiday weekend Sunday, Sept. 4, for the 18th Annual Jeff’s Auto Body & Recycling Center Late Model National Open. The 40-lap A-Main will pay $8,000 to win. The limited late models will also be on the program in a 20-lap feature paying $1,000 to win.
The curtain will fall on the 2016 season on Saturday, Sept. 17, with the running of the Jim Nace Memorial 34th Annual National Open for 410 sprint cars plus the super late models.
The Selinsgrove Speedway Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Genetti Hotel in Williamsport.
