Scott Bloomquist Banked $20,000 for Winning Saturday’s Inaugural Gateway Dirt Nationals

ST. LOUIS MO.- December 18, 2016-Scott Bloomquist did it in the Dome Saturday night.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion started on the pole and turned in a dominant performance to bank the $20,000 top prize in the inaugural Gateway Dirt Nationals inside the Dome at America’s Center.
Seven caution flags slowed the pace on the tight indoor dirt track, but Bloomquist was up to the challenge on restart after restart to hold back Don O’Neal for the victory.
Brandon Sheppard raced from ninth on the grid to finish third, while Bobby Pierce, who started 12th, and Hunter Rasdon rounding out the top five.
Ninety-seven late models were on hand for the three-night program.
