RCN-TV RETURNS TO GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY FOR 15TH STRAIGHT SEASON OF TV COVERAGE OF SATURDAY NIGHT RACING ACTION

BECHTELSVILLE, PA January 28, 2015 . . . For the 15th straight season Lehigh Valley, PA’s RCN-TV will offer television coverage of six dates of NASCAR sanctioned Saturday night stock car racing at Grandview Speedway.

The coverage, shown on a delayed basis, will be broken up into two programs. Qualifying heat racing action will be included in one show and the feature races for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds, Sportsman and BRC Late Models will be shown in a second show. Each show will offer approximately two hours of coverage and will be shown on two separate nights during the week following the actual live race event.

Included in the schedule of events to have coverage are April 11, May 16, June 20, July 11, August 8 and August 15th.

“Having the TV coverage gives our racers the opportunity to race in front of a larger audience,” said promoter Bruce Rogers. “The TV exposure also gives racers a great benefit to give to their sponsors with the increased coverage reaching the large RCN-TV market in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. I know it is something that our racers appreciate and we certainly appreciate.”

The shows include Victory Lane interviews, current point standings, news from the pit area, highlight video from ace lens man Gary Silverman, instant replay of key happenings plus this year there will be all-new GoPro camera footage.

Well respected Area Auto Racing News and Allentown Call writer Randy Kane will once again team up with veteran broadcaster Mike Feltenberger to provide expert commentary of the events.

Grandview Speedway will kick off their 53rd consecutive season of stock car racing on Saturday, March 28th, 12 noon, with a free-to-the-public practice session featuring all types of competition.

The season will officially get underway with the first NASCAR point events of the season for the 358 Modifieds, BRC Late Models and Sportsman racers on Saturday, April 4th, 7 p.m.
