OSWEGO NY – Following a career best campaign for 18 year-old Camden Proud behind the wheel of his Proud Motorsports Small Block Supermodified, Oswego based marketing firm Step One Creative has renewed its sponsorship with the family owned team for the fifth consecutive season of action at Oswego Speedway.

Proud, a former rookie of the year in the division, is Oswego Speedway’s public relations director and an avid motorsports writer, who put together a third place finish in the driver standings for the Pathfinder Bank Small Block Supermodifieds in 2017.

Notably earning three runner-up efforts and seven top five finishes last season to accumulate 943 total points, Proud is ecstatic to continue to build his on track resume with the support of Step One Creative, a resume which includes 36 top ten finishes in 52 career starts. His No. 54 machine will be returning to Oswego’s SBS class on a full-time basis next season.

“After our most successful season yet, I am very much looking forward to welcoming Shane (Stepien), Mark (Proud) and everyone at Step One Creative back for our 2018 effort,” Proud said. “We are more confident than ever at our chances at the track championship and look forward to continuing our quest for my first feature win, something we’ve been so close to with now five second place finishes under our belt. Without Step One’s loyalty and support, our successes to this point would not have been possible and I look forward to finally bringing them to victory lane this coming season.”

Proud Motorsports is a Small Block Supermodified race team based in Oswego, NY and owned by Tim and Debbie Proud. Camden, an 18 year-old driver and former quarter midget champion, has grown into one of the top competitors in Oswego Speedway’s SBS division in his first four seasons of racing action.
