New Egypt, NJ – The point chases are starting to wind down and they are about as close as they can be at New Egypt Speedway. This Saturday night August 12th Eastern Auto Parts Warehouse presents the 358 Modifieds, Crate Modifieds and the Street Stocks.
While New Egypt Speedway searches for its eighth different Modified winner in as many races this Saturday night, there is another story that is developing. Ryan Godown has shrunk Billy Pauch Jr.’s point lead down to just 17 markers heading into the last three points races of the 2017 campaign. Can “The Ringoes Rocket” chase down “The Kids Kid” to win his fifth overall title, or can Pauch Jr. finally land himself a title at the Ocean County D-Shaped oval? Don’t forget about Danny Bouc looming in third just 62 points back. Only time will tell.
If you think the 358 Modified points battle is close, wait until you see the Crate Modified points chase. Just 16 points separate the Top-5 drivers in points heading into this Saturday night’s main event.
Tom Tanner leads thus far with 240 points, second is Eric Palmer with 236, there is a tie for third between Frank Dorry and Ryan Simmons with 228 and the only winner in the Top-5 is Kyle Kania with 224.
The Street Stock points chase is close too with Bill Liedtka leading Jon Meyer by just 12 points.
This Saturday night will have huge title implications as Eastern Auto Parts Warehouse brings to you exciting 358 Modified, Crate Modified and Street Stock action!
