Perks Added to Freedom 76 Classic at Grandview Speedway

VP FUELS, BOBBY GUNTHER WALSH, AREA AUTO RACING NEWS AND MOTORSPORTS 2014 ADD PERKS TO FREEDOM 76 CLASSIC AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 5, 2014 . . . There will be $25,000 waiting for the winner of the Freedom 76 Modified Classic at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 13th. In addition there will be extra cash and perks for the winner and others competing in the 76-lap event on the Berks County one-third-mile, banked clay oval. The event is expected to attract many of the top names in the dirt track modified stock car racing to participate.

Racing action will get the green at 7 p.m. Adult admission is $35 while youngsters 6 through 12 pay $10 and kids under 6 are admitted FREE.

VP Racing Fuels, already a big supporter of racing at Grandview, has announced that they are posting $950 in product awards for the top three finishers that are using VP racing gasoline. VP will give $500 worth of product to the top finisher with $250 going to the second best finisher followed by $200 worth of product for the third best finisher.

To qualify for the award, each car must have VP’s 5×7 racing fuel decal clearly visible on both sides of the race car and a VP 3×4 patch on the uniform.

Veteran racer Bobby Gunther Walsh has announced that he is posting $300 for the Hard Charger in the 76-lap race. The sponsorship is made possible by the many sponsors that are involved with the Walsh racing effort.

            T.P.Trailers of Limerick, PA, a huge supporter of stock car racing at Grandview, is posting a $200 Hard Luck Award.

Pioneer Pole Building’s Motorsports 2015, a race car and trade show, presented at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, January 23-25, is posting $30 for the leader of Lap 30 in recognition of the show’s 30th year. The show, which offers attendees the opportunity to see just about everything imaginable in motorsports, is posting $100 for the leader at the half-way mark. During the September 13th race day, fans can meet Ms. Motorsports 2014 Cassi Pinder who will be hand giving away $1 off coupons for the show!

Area Auto Racing News, celebrating their 52nd year of operation, is posting $52 for the leader of Lap 52 and they will have $63 for the leader of Lap 63 recognizing the year AARN was first published. The weekly auto racing tabloid is available to subscribers on-line at 6 a.m. each Tuesday morning as a free service along with the printed copy received in your mail box.

The Minuteman 20, last chance to make the big race, will be sponsored again by Schaffer Motorsports.

Qualifying events are sponsored by Norm’s Save Station, Stoudt Auto Sales, Bill’s Printing, Pioneer Pole Buildings, Dave’s Auto Service and T.P.Trailers of Limerick.

More than $1000 in lap money has been posted by a variety of businesses and fans that support stock car racing at Grandview Speedway.

New this year is a doubleheader show of ARDC wingless midgets and ROC Sportsman stock cars. In addition there will be time allotted for Modified racers to practice for the Saturday race. Racing will start at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission is $12 while youngsters 6 through 12 pay $5 and those under 6 are admitted FREE.

            The 44th annual Freedom 76 has a rain date of Saturday, September 20.
