Mandee Pauch Relations – May 29, 2017 – Mother Nature has certainly not been on many race teams side so far in 2017.

The Pauch Racing team was set to do five straight nights of racing. Pauch Jr. was the only one to race two out of the five nights this past week.

Pauch Jr. kicked off Wednesday night at Action Track USA in Kutztown, P.A.

Jr. set quick time in the SpeedSTR locking him into the main event.

The top-two drivers who set quick time in SpeedSTR time trials don’t have to run a heat race and automatically transfer into the main event.

In the 600 micro-sprint Jr. started dead last in his heat race and drove his way through to finish third.

Jr. started on the inside of the sixth row for the SpeedSTR main event. “We got caught up in a tangle there in the feature,” he said. “I restarted in the back of the field and was able to make our way back forward.”

Jr. capped off the SpeedSTR feature in fourth-place.

The micro sprint feature saw Jr. roll off in 17th. “We took our time to get through,” noted Jr. “We hit the right lanes when we needed to. We were able to work our way to the front. I just wish we had some more laps.”

Jr. charged his way through the field and recorded a fourth-place finish.

On Saturday at New Egypt Speedway, Jr. finished second in his heat race from his seventh-place starting spot.

Jr. lined up 17th for the 40-lap main event.

“We were coming through and got spun out on lap six,” he said. “Once we got bent up in that wreck it unfortunately made it tight to drive. It hurt us a little bit but we survived and came out with a decent showing. We drove back through to a fourth-place finish with a wounded car.”

Pauch Sr. ran Bridgeport Speedway on Sunday in his No.15 Big Block Modified. Sr. won his heat race and was set to start on the pole for the main event when the rain came, forcing the track to cancel the remainder of the night. The makeup for the feature has yet to be determined.

Pauch Jr. will return to action this Wednesday at Action Track USA, Friday at Big Diamond Speedway and Saturday and New Egypt Speedway. Pauch Sr. will be at Georgetown Speedway this Friday and Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday.
