Pauch Jr. Pounces Twice in One Week

Aug. 28, 2017 – The Modified standout, Billy Pauch Jr., went two-for-two this past week. The driver out of Milford, N.J. put on a dominating performance picking up two big victories.

Wednesday evening saw Pauch Jr. at New Egypt Speedway for the Jersey Rush Small Block vs. Big Block show.

Pauch Jr. started his heat in third and qualified where he started – third.

The pre-race redraw saw Pauch Jr. draw fifth out of twelve for the 30-lap main event.

“We got to the front pretty decent,” he said. “We got the lead on lap four. It went nonstop from there on out. We had a really good showing and ended up winning.”

Pauch Jr. mentioned his No.96 Small Block Modified was a fresh new Bicknell.

Wednesday evening’s victory was Pauch Jr.’s fourth win of the season at New Egypt Speedway.

Friday night was the Prelude to the Coalcracker at Big Diamond Speedway in Minersville, P.A.

Pauch Jr. started fourth in his heat and maneuvered his way through to finish second, placing him in the redraw for the 40-lap main event.

Pauch Jr. started on the inside of the second row for the main event in his Growers Garden Center No.15.

“We jumped to an early lead on the first lap,” he said. “We had a bunch of challenges but led for the rest of the way.”

Pauch Jr.’s victory pocketed him a cool $4,600 payday.

“It’s always good when you win before a big race,” Pauch Jr. noted. “We have a lot of confidence going into the weekend and hope to capitalize.”

Heading into the final points night at New Egypt Speedway this Saturday, Pauch Jr. is looking to grab his first ever New Egypt Speedway track championship. Pauch Jr. currently leads the way by 25-points.

“We’re looking to do what we’ve done all year and hopefully have a good showing.”

This upcoming Saturday at Bridgeport Speedway will be Billy Pauch Fan Appreciation Night. Pauch Sr. will have his car on display and will be doing a meet and greet prior to racing. All fans that wear their Pauch apparel will receive $5 off general admission.

This week Pauch Jr. will be at Georgetown Speedway on Tuesday with the Short Track Super Series, New Egypt Speedway for their final points night on Saturday and Big Diamond Speedway on Sunday for the Coalcracker. Billy Pauch Sr. will be at Georgetown Speedway on Tuesday, Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday and Big Diamond Speedway on Sunday.
