New Egypt, NJ – The fans have spoken and the new, New Egypt Speedway Management Team has listened.
The Food Ticket program that was utilized during the 2016 season has been discontinued for the 2017 season.
“The food tickets were the biggest complaint we had last year and after reading the fans e-mail’s suggestions, we feel this is the right thing to do”, said Jennifer Stone who is a member of the track management team at New Egypt this season.
A dollar-bill system which is used at many other speedway’s across the northeast will replace the food ticket program. A cashier will be available to change what currency you have into dollar-bills.
Fans that have leftover tickets from 2016 will still be able to use what they have left during the 2017 season, which will kick off with the 6th Annual March Meltdown on March 18th at the D-Shaped Ocean County oval.
New Egypt Speedway will crown its 2016 Track Champions on January 7th at the Sheraton of Eatontown at their annual awards banquet. Banquet forms are available on the New Egypt Speedway website and must be in before December 24th. If the venue minimum is not met by then the Speedway will be forced to cancel the banquet and refunds will be given.
