15 Super Late Models, 29 358 Modifieds and 30 URC Sprint Cars filled the Gloucester County Speedway’s Pit Area on Tuesday night. I’m pretty sure the rain out from a week prior didn’t help the car count.

Both CJ Faison and Austin Hubbard  never made it out of Hotlaps, Faison suffered a Motor Failure with Hubbard backing his mount in the fence bending the rear clip.

Glenn Elliott led the first 23 laps only to lose the lead on a Green-White-Checkered to Andrew Mullins.

Heat Races were won by Glenn Elliott and Ricky Elliott

Neal Williams was finally able to shake the monkey off his back and win a Modified Feature at Bridgeport which he considers his home track. Williams who would lead wire to wire in the 25 lap affair.

DSC_0097Jimmy Blewett debuted The “Mach5” which is a throwback to his late brother John’s first ever Modified paint scheme from the early 1990’s. It truly is an amazing piece to look at and knowing the story behind it makes it even better. Blewett would pass Williams for the lead at one point but the pass was negated when the caution came right out. “I tried everything I could do, I just couldn’t get passed him”, said Blewett.

Jim Britt was the first Sportsman car across the line in Tuesdays 358 Modified feature earning him an extra $500. Britt ended up seventh overall.

It was nice to see a good mixture of cars from Bridgeport, New Egypt and Grandview there on Tuesday.

Modified Heat Races were won by Ryan Krachun, Ryan Watt and Rick Laubach with Clay Butler winning the B-Main.

Curt Michael was in another zip code in the 25 Lap URC Sprint Car Feature. I’ve never seen someone run the top like he did there.DSC_0149

Art Liedl who did double-duty in both the 360 Sprint Car and a 358 Modified was running second when he broke late in the going.

It was nice to see a strong contingent of 305 Sprint Cars try and make the show against the more powerful 360’s with three of them making the show.

The long haul award has to go to Jason Barney who came all the way down from Brewerton, NY to compete at Bridgeport on Tuesday.

Heat Races for the URC Sprint Cars were won by Brad Franks, Mike Haggenbottom and Ryan Stillwaggon. with Kevin Darling winning the B-Main.
