Mother Nature Postpones Championship Night at New Egypt Speedway
All Star Cup Weekend Moved to September 25th & 26th
New Egypt, NJ– Mother Nature reared her ugly head Saturday and forced the cancellation and postponement of New Egypt Speedway’s Championship Night. Championship Night will now be this Saturday, September 19th with the Sportsman, Crate Modifieds, Street Stocks, and NERS Sprints all racing for double points and the 2015 championships. Also racing will be the NEWS Sprint cars.
Because of the postponement of not only Championship Night but also Grandview’s Freedom 76 event, the All Star Cup weekend has been moved to Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th. Friday night will feature the Big Rooster 20 in honor of John Cornell Jr. Sportsman event, the NERS Sprints, and the Black Flagged Racing Street Stock Spectacular. Saturday will see the 358 Modifieds competing for $7,500 to win and $400 to start, the Crate Modifieds racing for $3,000 to win and $350 to start, and the NEWS Sprint racing for $1,500 to win and $150 to start if there are 10 or more cars.
Saturday, September 19th the pit gates will open at 3 pm, front gates will open at 4 pm, hot laps will start at 5:15 pm, and racing starts at 6 pm. Adults are $20, seniors 65 and older are $18, teens 12-15 and military and their spouses with ID are $10, and children 11 and under are FREE.
The All Star Cup Weekend kicks off Friday, September 25th. Pit gates open at 3 pm, front gates open at 5 pm, hot laps begin at 6 pm, and racing starts at 7 pm. Adults are $20, teens 12-15 and military and their spouse are $10, and children 11 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $35 with any track or series license and $40 without. No New Egypt Speedway coupons or season passes will be accepted. A two day general admission pass will be available for $45. Saturday, September 26th pit gates open at 11 am, front gates open at 1 pm, Fan Fest is from 1-3 pm, hot laps begin at 4 pm, and the first green flag waves at 5 pm. Adults are $30, teens 12-15 and military and their spouses with ID are $15, and children 11 and under are FREE. Pit admission is $35 with any track or series license and $40 without.
