Mahoning Valley Speedway Street Stocks to Run Special Gamblers Series
(LEHIGHTON, PA 12-14-14) There is no question that when it comes to support classes at Mahoning Valley Speedway each one has a distinctive uniqueness which adds to the excitement of attending a race at the popular paved quarter mile oval in Lehighton.
The Street Stock division, however, has built quite an identity that goes beyond the weekly wars at the Floyd Santee promoted speedway. With car counts that average near 30 and more on a regular basis and competition that has an abundance of parity, it is no wonder that Street Stock drivers flock to Mahoning to get in on all the action and know that winning a feature carries so much merit.
Heading into the 2015 season the Street Stocks will now be rewarded with a special six race series to be known as the American Rental Street Stock Gamblers Series (ARSSGS).
Sponsored by American Rental Equipment of Lehighton, the select half dozen shows will be run under a poker series format by which cards will be given to the top 13 feature finishers in each of those races. At the end of the series the drivers with the best poker hands will be awarded monetary prizes of $800, $500, $400, $300 and $200 respectively.
The ARSSGS will take place starting with the Gene Bowers Sr., Memorial 100 on May 23 which is a $1200 to win 100-lap main.
Next will be the Mike Krempasky Street Stock Memorial Triple 19s on September 5. That program will cover ARSSGS races 2-3-4. Each 19-lap feature pays $419 to win.
The Street Stock portion of OCTOBERFAST 2015 on October 17, is race number 5. The contested run will be over a distance of 75 laps and pay $1500 to the winner.
The finale will be on October 24 with a feature length yet to be determined.
American Rental Equipment, located at 511 Mahoning Drive East and also at 2350 Schoenersville Road in Allentown, offers construction equipment rental services to homeowners, builders, landscapers and contractors.
They came onboard as a track sponsor last season and also supported Street Stock regulars Steve Hoffman, Jon Smith, Steven Steigerwalt and Dan Freundt.
The ARSSGS will be a great incentive opportunity for drivers to earn additional money while giving fans even more excitement through their two-wide and ten deep style racing.
More information about the ARSSGS and the upcoming season at Mahoning Valley Speedway will be made available at the three day Pioneer Pole Buildings Motorsports 2015 Presented by Sunoco Race Fuels Distributed by Insinger Performance Race Car and Trade Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, January 23-25, 2015.
