LEHIGHTON, Pa.-August 31, 2016- Mahoning Valley Speedway’s Street Stock division always makes for a great debate as one of the best support classes in short track racing. Every week there is full fields and the racing has amazing two-wide and field-deep side-by-side action.
Just last Saturday alone the feature was so heated that the margin of victory by winner Cory Edelman over Dennis Buss was my inches.
Heading into this week’s race card at the paved quarter mile oval, the Street Stocks will be battling in three times the action as the speedway will present Triple 20’s and pay $400 to win each.
The three 20-lap runs will also have huge implications towards the 2016 class championship as each feature will award title points.
Plus it is also the next three events in the American Rental Street Stock Gamblers Series.
The first feature will be lined up after heat races are run. Features two and three will be inverted anywhere from positions 9 – 15. All eligible invert cars must be on the lead lap.
Also in action will be Modifieds, Late Models, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks. Plus at intermission there will be a Kids Power Wheels Demo Derby.
Adult general admission is $20. There is a $2 discount for students, seniors 65+ and active Military. Grandstands open at 4:00 pm and racing begins at 6:00. Warm-ups will get underway at 4:00. Pit entry is $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers.
For those who wish to partake in early paid practice pits will open at 11:30 am with track time beginning at 12:30.
